  13. for non U.S. residents callback is still a money saver on international calls
  14. and since billing is done more and more in 6 seconds intervals and not
  15. anymore by the minute the rates became "fax friendly". Line quality sometimes
  16. makes it hard for fax transmission but in most cases you can use call back
  17. without problems. It's worth a try for the savings anyway. This is how I use
  18. WinFax Pro V.4.0 with Call Back in Spain:

  20. 1. Dial tone and busy tone recognition must be switched off in the modems set up
  21. menu.
  22. 2. You prepare your fax as usual but for the number you put in just "m".
  23. 3. You then send off the fax using delayed sending and holding back. This puts
  24. the fax in the "out basket". Here you pick it up again and in the drop down list
  25. you get ready to "send now" but wait.
  26. 4. Now its time for the Call Back to initiate. Once the service is back and you
  27. took the call you can send off your fax. Winfax needs some time to set up the
  28. modem etc. and then will wait.
  29. 5. Meanwhile you have dialed up the receiving fax and as soon as the negotiation
  30. starts and you see "connecting to fax" on the screen you can hung up and leave
  31. it to the modem.
